ICICI Bank shares moved above two cited moving averages in Indian trading on Oct. 29 after an early dip below them, while later quotes remained under the previous session’s close.

The Economic Times live blog put the price at ₹1,370.60 at 11:45 p.m. Eastern time Oct. 28, equivalent to 9:15 a.m. India Standard Time Oct. 29. It reported a 0.51% daily decline. An entry 20 seconds later compared that quote with the 20-day exponential moving average (EMA), ₹1,373.02; the 100-day EMA was ₹1,372.37. The quoted price was below both figures.

Business Standard’s snapshot of a National Stock Exchange of India quote showed ₹1,373.70 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time Oct. 28, down 0.28%. At 12:19 a.m. Eastern time Oct. 29, The Economic Times listed ₹1,373.60, down 0.3%. Those times correspond to 9:29 and 9:49 a.m. IST, respectively. At both later prices, shares were above the ₹1,373.02 and ₹1,372.37 indicator marks; the reported daily declines were narrower than the initial 0.51%.

Market-history data from Investing.com and Moneycontrol put the Oct. 28 close at ₹1,377.60, down ₹9.30, or 0.67%, from the prior session. The prices at 9:29 a.m. and 9:49 a.m. IST were ₹3.90 and ₹4 below the Oct. 28 close, respectively. The same histories list Oct. 28 volume at 9,519,327 shares. The snapshots show that moving above both averages did not bring the price back to the previous session’s finish.

ICICI Bank’s performance review put standalone profit after tax at ₹14,843 crore for the quarter through Sept. 30, 2026, 20.1% above the year-earlier figure. Net interest income reached ₹25,339 crore, an increase of 17.7%. The review reports the quarterly results but gives no explanation for the next session’s share-price move. EconoTimes previously covered the bank’s profit result in a report on private-bank stocks.
