The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance after reporting a 19.35% increase in consolidated profit for the September quarter and faster growth in operating revenue.
Its board cleared the reviewed, unaudited standalone and consolidated accounts Wednesday, Oct. 21. They cover the three months and half year through Sept. 30. The filing put quarterly consolidated profit at Rs 379.85 crore, against Rs 318.26 crore in the year-earlier period.
Operating revenue climbed 21.7% to Rs 2,484.32 crore from Rs 2,040.89 crore. Total expenses reached Rs 2,017.41 crore, compared with Rs 1,671.54 crore a year earlier. Of the latest quarter's profit, Rs 349.49 crore was attributable to IHCL's owners and Rs 30.36 crore to non-controlling interests. The company's release rounded owners' profit to Rs 349 crore and reported 23% growth for that measure.
IHCL raised its FY2027 consolidated revenue guidance to 15%-17% from 12%-14%, citing first-half performance. It also expects revenue from its hotel segment to grow 17%-19%.
The company linked its results to several operating gains. Revenue per available room at domestic same-store hotels increased 25%, IHCL said, while management-fee income and select-service revenue each grew at the same rate. Recent acquisitions Brij and Atmantan also contributed.
Managing Director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal called the quarter IHCL's “eighteenth consecutive record quarter.” He also pointed to seasonal conditions and demand for social and MICE events in coming quarters.
IHCL said it signed 47 hotels in the first half of FY2027, bringing its portfolio to 670 hotels, including 280 in the pipeline. The company expects to reach its Accelerate 2030 goal of 700 hotels ahead of schedule.
