Semiconductor equipment manufacturers reduce production cycle times by implementing parallel laser processing in applications such as wafer scribing, cutting and via-hole drilling. The II-VI Power EqualizIR beam delivery module manipulates multiple beams from a single CO2 laser source and dynamically equalizes their power to enable back-end semiconductor equipment to achieve a highly uniform process.
“Our new Power EqualizIR overcomes the fundamental performance limitations of existing beam delivery components that rely on beam splitters, polarizers and attenuators,” said John Ryan, Vice President of Sales, II-VI Laser Solutions. “II-VI leveraged its industry-leading expertise in optics and assemblies to develop a unique solution.”
The II-VI Power EqualizIR dynamically equalizes power in process without disrupting phase shift and polarization.
In addition to the Power EqualizIR, II-VI offers a wide range of products for advanced semiconductor equipment applications. These include optics for extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, advanced ceramic components for front-end semiconductor equipment, and the new CogentuM™ product family of advanced materials for next-generation back-end semiconductor equipment.
II-VI at SPIE Photonics West, Jan. 31- Feb. 2, 2017, South Hall, Booth # 1833
