Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Hossein Mohebi claimed Iran’s missile stockpile rose 1.5-fold after the 12-day war with Israel in June 2025, while previewing a new weapon without details.

Mohebi also claimed that missile range, destructive power and accuracy had improved, but gave no figures for those changes or a total stockpile count. Anadolu Agency reported Wednesday that his remarks were carried by Iran’s Young Journalists Club.

Mohebi said the Guards were preparing to unveil a weapon he called the “father of all bombs,” describing it as “something new for the enemy.” He did not identify the weapon’s type, give technical specifications or set a date for its unveiling.

Anadolu Agency reported that the remarks followed U.S. President Donald Trump’s Friday hint that the United States might use a GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb against Iranian nuclear facilities. A U.S. Forces Afghanistan release says U.S. forces used a GBU-43/B in a strike on an Islamic State-Khorasan tunnel complex in Afghanistan on April 13, 2017.
