Parakala Prabhakar took part in demonstrations opposing changes to voter rolls, Al Jazeera reported Oct. 30.
The report identified Prabhakar as the finance minister’s husband and said a group known as the “cockroach movement” was behind the demonstrations.
The demonstration is planned for Monday, Oct. 26, and will include an effigy burning, Deutsche Welle reported.
Delhi’s claims-and-objections period ends Oct. 30. Gandhi alleged voter names had been removed in his Oct. 25 call for a Nov. 1 march and rally.
About 4.77 million names were absent from Delhi’s draft electoral roll. Its revised schedule sets final publication for Dec. 4.
