Infosys ended Sept. 30 with 332,542 employees, an increase of 4,480 from June 30 and 551 from a year earlier, according to its Q2 FY27 fact sheet. Its IT Services business also recorded a lower voluntary attrition rate over a rolling annual period.

The measure reached 12.7% for the 12 months ending Sept. 30, compared with 13% for the year through June 30 and 14.3% for the year through Sept. 30, 2025. The decline was 0.3 percentage point from June and 1.6 points from a year earlier. Infosys labels it a last-12-month measure for IT Services, so it does not measure departures solely during Q2. Among the three dates cited, Sept. 30 had the lowest rate.

Software professionals totaled 314,508 at quarter-end, up from 310,039 in June. Sales and support staff numbered 18,034, versus 18,023 three months earlier. The 4,469-person increase in software professionals and 11-person rise in sales and support account for the overall 4,480-person gain. Women made up 39.8% of employees at Sept. 30; the share was 39.6% at June’s end and 39.5% a year earlier.

Moneycontrol reported more than 8,000 college-graduate hires in Q2, while the remarks it attributed to CEO and Managing Director Salil Parekh gave the figure as 8,000. The outlet also quoted Parekh saying the FY27 target remained 20,000 and more than half had been completed in H1FY27.

Revenue was $5.145 billion, up 1.5% year over year and 1.2% sequentially, both in constant-currency terms. Infosys set FY27 guidance for constant-currency revenue growth of 1% to 2% and an operating margin of 20% to 22% in its FY27 revenue outlook.
