CHICAGO, Oct. 05, 2017 -- R1 RCM Inc. (NASDAQ:RCM), a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management and physician advisory services to healthcare providers, today announced that Intermountain Healthcare has expanded its relationship with R1, selecting its Revenue Capture module to be deployed across the system. Intermountain Healthcare is a Utah-based, not-for-profit system of 22 hospitals, 180 clinics, and a Medical Group with approximately 1,500 employed physicians and advanced practitioners.
“It is important for our health system and our patients that we keep pace with the ongoing changes in healthcare,” said Todd Craghead, Vice President of Revenue Cycle for Intermountain Healthcare. “R1 has been a longstanding revenue cycle partner and we are pleased to extend this relationship in the critical area of revenue integrity with the Revenue Capture module. We selected R1 for their breadth of capabilities and integration with our current hospital practices. We are nearing the end of a system-wide conversion and needed a revenue integrity solution that could be quickly implemented across our health system in order to make certain that we are compliantly capturing revenue inside of the newly implemented patient accounting system.”
R1’s Revenue Capture module provides health systems with technology-enabled services designed to ensure compliant revenue capture for services rendered to patients. The module has historically driven improvement of 0.75-1.5% in net patient services revenue over a three-year period. With the expansion to Intermountain Healthcare, the module will now be in use at more than 140 hospitals.
“Intermountain is a nationally recognized, progressive leader in high quality, efficient healthcare delivery,” said Gary Long, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer for R1 RCM. “We are excited to further our existing partnership with Intermountain enabling continued, demonstrable improvements to their revenue cycle process.”
