Israeli forces continued incursions in Hebron for a sixth consecutive day, Anadolu Agency reported, while Hebron Municipality had counted 4,969 people displaced from two neighborhoods as of Tuesday.
The municipality’s count covered Deir Bahha and Al-Jilda, according to an earlier EconoTimes report on the displacement tally. The figure was current as of Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Anadolu Agency’s Tuesday account described the operation as being in its fifth day. The account said the military sealed routes into Hebron and surrounding villages after a shooting killed two Israeli soldiers.
The agency also cited witnesses who said reinforcements arrived in Ein Deir Baha and troops were using several Palestinian buildings as military posts.
