Italy’s industrial turnover index rises sequentially in July

The industrial sales index of Italy gauges the monthly development of sales by industrial enterprises at current prices, stated Italy’s official statistics office, Istat. The seasonally adjusted turnover index in July rose 2.1 percent month-on-month, as compared with June’s -1.1 percent. The percentage change of the average of the last three months compared to the earlier three months was -0.4 percent.

Meanwhile, the new orders index gauges the value of future deliveries of products to be provided by industrial producers. The seasonally adjusted industrial new orders index dropped 10.8 sequentially in July. The percentage change of the average of the last three months compared to the previous three months was 1.9 percent, stated Istat.

On a year-on-year basis, the seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index fell 0.7 percent in July, whereas industrial new orders index dropped 11.8 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted volume turnover index rose 2.1 percent on a year-on-year basis in July.
