Italy’s retail trade rose on a year-on-year basis, but declined on a sequential basis. On a seasonally adjusted basis, Italy’s retail trade dropped 0.7 percent sequentially in November, as compared with the growth of 1.2 percent recorded in October. Food goods dropped 1.2 percent, while non-food goods dropped 0.5 percent.
The average of the last three month dropped with respect to the earlier three months by 0.1 percent. On a year-on-year basis, retail sales rose 0.8 percent in November, as compared with decline of 0.2 percent in November of 2015.
