JDEnergy Says BloombergNEF Kept It on Its Q4 Storage Tier 1 List

The company calls it a seventh straight quarter, but BloombergNEF’s public reports page showed a Q1 2026 energy-storage badge and says company releases alone do not establish eligibility.

JDEnergy says BloombergNEF included it on its Tier 1 energy storage manufacturer list for the fourth quarter of 2026, a designation tied to suppliers’ commercial project records.

In an announcement carrying a Nov. 3 Xi’an dateline, the company described the Q4 appearance as its seventh in a row. BloombergNEF’s public reports page displayed an energy storage badge for Q1 2026. Its methodology says a company announcement alone does not establish that a manufacturer meets the criteria, leaving the Q4 claim unconfirmed in BloombergNEF’s public materials.

JDEnergy’s earlier announcements called its Q3 2026 appearance the sixth consecutive quarter and its Q2 listing the fifth. The Q3 and Q2 releases were dated Aug. 3 and May 7, respectively; those statements outline the company’s reported sequence but do not independently confirm the Q4 placement.

BloombergNEF’s Aug. 15 methodology requires manufacturers to own production plants and supply products they make and brand themselves, either through completed deliveries or firm supply contracts. The test calls for at least six qualifying projects within the prior two years, involving at least three buyers independent of the manufacturer. Each project must meet a threshold of 10 megawatts or 10 megawatt-hours. At least one relevant project must have closed non-recourse financing, with the related deal or deals involving at least two commercial banks.

BloombergNEF updates the list quarterly using project evidence from the preceding two years. The designation is not a product-quality rating or a measure of a manufacturer’s financial condition, the methodology says.

JDEnergy says it has delivered storage products to more than 15 countries and regions. It describes its offerings as modular eBlock units and prefabricated battery energy storage systems using string power conversion system architecture. The company says it plans to expand in selected overseas markets through regional partnerships.
