Japan’s Ministry of Finance posted potential uses for fiscal 2026 climate-transition bond proceeds; in an Oct. 26 notice, it scheduled about ¥250 billion in five-year climate-transition bonds for Monday, Nov. 2.

Fiscal 2026 runs from April 2026 through March 2027, and the ministry labels the listed projects as potential allocations. Its page links the climate-transition bond framework and second-party opinions revised in June 2025.

The page lists the JCR opinion as updated Jan. 23, 2026, and the DNV opinion and annex as updated March 19, 2026. It says assessments related to both documents addressed the ICMA Climate Transition Bond Guidelines. The ministry’s site also links allocation reports for fiscal 2023 and fiscal 2024 issuances.

The ministry set Nov. 4 as the issuance date and Sept. 20, 2031, as the maturity date. It scheduled the five-year bond auction for Monday, Nov. 2.
