Japan’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) scheduled an auction of about ¥2.5 trillion in five-year Japanese government bonds (JGBs) for Nov. 12, setting the timing for a planned government debt sale.
The MOF’s Nov. 5 announcement lists Nov. 13 as the issue date and Sept. 20, 2031, as the maturity date.
The sale is separate from a ¥250 billion five-year climate-transition JGB offering. In an Oct. 26 announcement, the MOF scheduled that offering’s auction for Nov. 2 and issuance for Nov. 4, according to EconoTimes’ earlier coverage. The two offerings share a Sept. 20, 2031, maturity date.
The auction is scheduled for Nov. 12, with issuance the following day.
