Japanese doughnut chain Mister Donut will make its market debut in Singapore on May 21. at Bishan’s Junction 8 mall.
Local firm RE&S Enterprises, which operates other Japanese chains, including Ichiban Boshi, Shimbashi Soba, and Kuriya Dining, is the franchisee for the store.
Over the next three years, RE&S intends to open at least nine Mister Donut locations, some of which will have expansive cafe designs.
The Singaporean business conducted a market study last year by opening a Mister Donut pop-up store for a month.
Founded in the UD in 1956, Mister Donut gained popularity when it was established in Japan in 1971. It now has over 900 locations across Japan and has a presence in Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
