Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have been dating for over a year, and since confirming their relationship, many engagements and even wedding rumors have been reported about them. However, they proved them wrong as they are still just a plain dating couple.
Recently, when Alex Rodriguez (aka A-Rod) uploaded a video of his girlfriend on Instagram, a new engagement rumor began. This was because the clip showed the “El Anillo” singer wearing a huge diamond ring.
So, does the expensive bling really mean that they will be exchanging “I dos” soon? Did they get engaged while no one was looking?
Alex Rodriguez debunked this news when he said that it was not an engagement ring his girlfriend was wearing. Apparently, it was the same piece of jewelry that Jennifer Lopez got from her boyfriend earlier this year.
In August, Entertainment Tonight quoted the former baseball player as saying, "I gave her the ring maybe four or five months ago. I got her that ring. She loved it."
He further explained that while the ring has "significance," he and Jennifer Lopez are not engaged and he will probably not propose yet to the singer/actress.
In any case, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are very in love with each other right now. They claim that they are soulmates and they click because they have lots of things in common.
“We're both in our 40s, we're both from New York. We both come from Latino backgrounds, we both have two kids,” he said on "Kathie Lee and Hoda." We've both been through a lot and can really appreciate each other, both the good and the challenges.”
With regards to a wedding, Jennifer Lopez said that they have to take their time and do things at their own pace so they will not repeat the mistakes they committed in the past. Everyone knows that she and Alex have failed marriages so she meant to say that they want to take things slow and a wedding can wait and will happen at the right time.
"We have to take our time,” she told People. “I've made plenty of mistakes in my past, and we're mature now. Our life right now is incredibly wonderful. Between our kids and our work, we're truly blessed. We don't need anything more right now."
