The Joint List accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of using an AI-generated image to inflate Arab turnout in Tuesday’s Israeli election, while Joint List lawmaker Ahmad Tibi said a turnout gap could hurt the result.

Anadolu Agency reported that Netanyahu described the image as a crowd outside a polling station in Rahat, a city in southern Israel, and urged people to vote for Likud. The alliance called the image fabricated and argued it could make Arab participation appear high enough to discourage some voters from casting ballots.

Netanyahu also shared a photo of Tibi beside a bus that the lawmaker had posted days earlier. The post linked the bus to voter transport and cited reports of long queues in Arab towns, Anadolu reported.

In a video, Tibi said turnout in Arab towns had risen above past levels, but participation in Jewish towns remained higher and the gap was still wide. He said Arab voters could narrow the difference and warned it could negatively affect the election outcome.

The vote will shape coalition negotiations. EconoTimes previously examined how Arab Israeli turnout could affect those talks.
