The fall season is not just a time for much-awaited anime series premieres to take place. This has also been a period when various anime studios have confirmed that highly requested anime will be coming back for another installment. One of the lucky ones are fans who have been patiently waiting for the announcement of “Kaguya-Sama: Love is War” season 2.
'Kaguya-Sama: Love is War' season 2 release date: Anime return confirmed in 2020
Out of the blue, fans received the news that “Kaguya-Sama: Love is War” season 2 is going to be released. The announcement came from the series’s official Twitter page, so fans can relax now as the show that debuted earlier this year is formally renewed for another season.
The producers also announced that the new episodes in “Kaguya-Sama: Love is War” season 2 will be released in 2020. Not surprisingly, however, they left the specific release date unknown for now. The second season is possibly still in production at this point. Fans might not be hearing about the specific premier schedule until after a few more months.

It is not too far-fetched to hope for the new episodes to arrive within the first half of 2020. But if A-1 Pictures would not announce a premiere for “Kaguya-Sama: Love is War” season 2 by December, the next possible release date window would be in the spring of 2020.
'Kaguya-Sama: Love is War' season 2 spoilers: Is someone finally falling into the trap of confession?
There are many details still unknown about “Kaguya-Sama: Love is War” season 2, like if the studio would maintain a one-cour release with only 12 episodes. What’s certain is that the mind games between Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane will only get more convoluted and eventually more romantic.
The entire series revolves around Miyuki and Kaguya’s undeclared war of who should be the first one to confess their love for the other person. They both believe that confessing is a sign of weakness, and whoever does it first “loses.” But fans will also get to watch their relationship develop in “Kaguya-Sama: Love is War” season 2 as it gets less cynical as they both manifest vulnerability little by little.
