Kalshi’s October tally was dominated by parlays linked to the football season, which accounted for 67.6% of reported platform volume even as most of those contracts traded below one cent. The figures highlight how a volume measure based on settlement value can differ from the cash traders put in.

Kalshi recorded $98.2 billion across 465.5 million transactions in October. Polymarket posted $20.2 billion and 148 million transactions. Kalshi calculates volume using each contract’s full $1 settlement value, so its figure does not measure the cash traders put in.

Markets connected to the U.S. midterm elections surpassed $1.4 billion in volume. Combined crypto-contract activity across the two platforms exceeded $3 billion in each of two back-to-back weeks, the first time that happened. The pace surpassed an earlier $2.7 billion weekly crypto-contract record covered by EconoTimes.

CryptoRank reported prediction-market volume of $188 billion in the third quarter, nearly 70% higher than in the second quarter.
