Karur Vysya Bank reported a 37.2% annual rise in net profit to ₹787.69 crore for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, alongside lower bad-loan ratios.

Net profit compared with ₹573.96 crore in the year-earlier quarter. The lender recorded total income of ₹3,670.21 crore, up 10.5%. Its board approved the unaudited results on Oct. 15, 2026. The bank said its joint statutory auditors’ limited review resulted in an unmodified conclusion.

Gross nonperforming assets stood at 0.69% of advances, down from 0.76% a year earlier. Net nonperforming assets eased to 0.18% from 0.19%.

LiveMint reported that the shares touched ₹331.85 intraday on Oct. 23 after opening at ₹356.70, compared with a previous close of ₹356.05. The cited prices imply a 6.8% drop from the previous close.

LiveMint cited Mahesh M Ojha, vice president of research and business development at KC Securities, who linked the reported weakness to profit-taking after a post-results rise and softer sentiment across the broader market. The bank’s results filing did not identify a reason for the share-price move.

A June 30, 2026, shareholding filing from the bank lists Rekha Jhunjhunwala with 40,185,019 shares, or 4.16% of the lender.
