Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been dating for nearly six years and fans of the couple are wondering when the two will tie the knot. Although the unofficial couple hasn’t announced anything just yet, National Enquirer (via Gossip Cop) is claiming that it wouldn’t be long before the pair walks down the aisle.

According to the questionable outlet, Katie Holmes’ parents have given their blessing to Jamie Foxx and agreed that he can finally take their daughter’s hand. The speculation comes amidst the duo celebrating the actress’ 40th birthday last month, along with Katie’s mother, Kathleen Stothers-Holmes.

As the rumors would have it, Jamie Foxx supposedly made quite the impression on Katie Holmes’ mom as he was quite the gentleman throughout the night. While being a gentleman was true, the claim that Kathleen Stothers-Holmes has given leave for the actor to wed her daughter is false. Not that she doesn’t want Katie to wed the “Django” star. It’s just that no announcement has been made just yet and pushing this narrative as legitimate is simply irresponsible journalism.

The publication further contends that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are secretly engaged and are planning to conduct the ceremony in Paris this coming winter. All of these are pure fiction, of course. National Enquirer has proven time and again that they’re a publication that cannot be trusted.

There’s also the fact that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx hasn’t made their relationship official. They even repeatedly said that they’re not a couple when asked by paparazzi on multiple instances. But they are very much in love with each other as evidenced by recent photos that surfaced online.

The images showed Katie Holmes wrapping her hands around Jamie Foxx and kissing him romantically inside a yacht. Although both were aware that there were cameras pointed at them, they don’t seem to mind being photographed. This behavior is unusual for the duo given that they’ve been secretive with their romance all these years. Could it be that it’s a sign they’re ready to take their relationship to the next level?
