The Lesser Poland Voivodeship Office reported six dead and 17 injured in an update on Krakow’s Saturday shooting, two above the 15 the city had listed a day earlier.

Krakow’s city government said the attack began shortly after 9 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC) Saturday, Nov. 7, near Sławkowska Street, when a man fired from a moving car. Police shot and detained the suspect. The city said he was a Polish citizen with a firearms permit.

The city identified those killed as four women and two men. It said a No. 1 tram was shot at near Plac Wszystkich Świętych, shattering the driver’s cabin window. The driver and passengers were not injured.

The regional office reported that one officer’s condition was life-threatening and a second officer had also been injured. EconoTimes previously covered the city’s initial casualty count and the suspect’s detention. The city designated the period through Nov. 11 for mourning.
