Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said work is underway to arrange a meeting among Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in China, though no date is set.

Peskov previously described the proposal as hypothetical and said no arrangements or agenda had been agreed. No three-leader meeting has been confirmed or scheduled.

Trump has suggested nuclear arms as a possible subject for talks with Putin and Xi. China’s Foreign Ministry has said it would be unfair to include China in three-way disarmament negotiations at this stage, citing the difference between its nuclear forces and those of the United States and Russia.

The proposed setting is China’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) gathering. Trump is expected to attend and meet Xi on the sidelines. EconoTimes previously covered plans for Putin and Xi to meet at the gathering. The APEC leaders’ meeting is scheduled for Nov. 18-19 in Shenzhen.
