Krispy Kreme Celebrates 87th Anniversary with Limited-Edition Hello Kitty Doughnuts and Sanrio Characters
Sanrio's Hello Kitty fans can now enjoy a bite of their favorite pop culture icon with Krispy Kreme's limited-edition doughnuts. This collaboration celebrates milestone anniversaries for both heritage brands: Krispy Kreme marks its 87th year since its foundation in 1937, while Hello Kitty was introduced among the Sanrio characters in 1974.
Hello Kitty's friends also celebrate this partnership in the Philippines. The Kuromi doughnut features a cotton candy flavor, Cinnamoroll is bubble gum-flavored, Pochacco is drizzled with honeydew-flavored chocolate, My Melody is drizzled with strawberry chocolate, and Pompompurin shines with a banana flavor. Like Hello Kitty, they are all topped with sprinkles and come with their candy toppers.
"It's a back-to-back celebration with Krispy Kreme's 87th birthday. We wanted to make it even more special by collaborating and partnering with a well-loved and very iconic character, Hello Kitty," said Ysabel Cruz, Senior Marketing Manager of Krispy Kreme Philippines, in an interview with Philstar.com.
