LG Electronics Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding with artificial intelligence (AI) startup FASSTO to promote cooperation in the supply and system development of logistics robot solutions.
According to the MOU's terms, the two businesses will support the creation of a solution that integrates autonomous order-picking robots with logistics systems, the development of the best robot operation procedures for logistics bases, and the gradual expansion of the use of robot solutions within logistics centers.
Early this month, LG rolled out a solution linking its next-generation self-driving logistics robot, CLOi CarryBot. with a warehouse management system and a multiple robot control systems at Fassto’s smart logistics center in Yongin.
The two parties will collaborate to expand the use of the CLOi CarryBot at FASSTO’s other logistics centers.
LG will also supply the logistics centers run by FASSTO’s foreign client companies with its next-generation robot solution.
