LITEON Technology displayed an 800 VDC Power Rack and an 800V-to-50V Power Brick at the OCP Global Summit, highlighting power equipment as NVIDIA points to a 2027 move toward megawatt-scale AI racks.

LITEON said the products appeared in NVIDIA’s MGX ecosystem exhibit area during the summit. The Open Compute Project (OCP) event ran Oct. 12-15 in San Jose, California.

At its booth, LITEON presented an interactive virtual-rack demonstration with modeled scenarios at 330 kW, 880 kW and 1.2 MW. The company described these as scenarios and did not identify them as customer installations.

LITEON said the products were designed to address energy-efficiency and scalability requirements for AI data centers, but provided no measured efficiency figures. “AI workloads continue to grow in scale and power density,” said LITEON General Manager John Chang.

NVIDIA has linked rising rack power density to the move toward 800 VDC distribution, which it associates with the power needs of megawatt-scale AI racks. NVIDIA says the transition to 800 VDC infrastructure for megawatt-scale IT racks will begin in 2027. The company describes MGX as supporting accelerated-computing designs from individual servers to rack-scale systems.

NVIDIA’s OCP event page lists Lite-On among its featured MGX partners. LITEON said John Chang, Bob Weng and Simon Ong represented the company at an MGX Ecosystem Ceremony during the summit. OCP’s recorded-content page lists two LITEON presentations: “Powering the AI Revolution: Navigating the 800V-to-Chip Frontier” and “LITEON 1MW Power Rack Solution for AI Data Center.”
