Laurus Labs said its first commercial-scale peptide plant in Vizag is operational as the pharmaceutical maker reported first-half capital spending equal to 20% of revenue and approved an interim dividend.
The company said capital expenditure in the first half of FY27 was 20% of revenue. Separately, its six-month results filing recorded ₹864.19 crore in cash outflows for property, plant and equipment and related capital-work movements.
Laurus said it is expanding capacity and investing in oligonucleotides and peptide-resin technologies alongside the Vizag plant. The company attributed gross-margin expansion to a favorable business mix and said growth in commercial supplies improved capacity efficiency.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, consolidated revenue from operations rose 33.4% to ₹2,206.37 crore from ₹1,653.47 crore a year earlier. Consolidated profit after tax increased to ₹436.74 crore from ₹193.75 crore. The filing separately listed ₹441.48 crore in profit attributable to the parent company’s equity holders, compared with ₹194.97 crore a year earlier.
