“Law & Order: SVU” season 20 just aired its mid-season finale last week and fans are wondering when it will return for the continuation of the story. In any case, the ending did not really offer a big cliffhanger but episode 10 recorded good TV ratings before it took a break.
“Law & Order: SVU” season 20 episode 10 titled “Alta Kockers” had 3.8 million viewers when it aired on Nov. 29. The record was a bit less compared to two weeks ago but the show was still one of the highest-ranking programs in its category and timeslot.
As for a bit of recap, “Law & Order: SVU” season 20 episode 10 tells the story of a young woman who is also a book author. She died after holding a reading session at a bookstore and she was known as Bobbi O’Rourke, the writer of a memoir called ‘Blue Barracuda.” The book contains her life story and it detailed her gloomy experience as a child prostitute.
Her murder occurred after the reading event. As soon as she exited from the bookstore’s back door, she was hit with a brick and died there on the spot. When detectives Carisi and Tutuola start to investigate, they discovered that the girl was actually a boy.
As it turned out, the poor lad was not really the author Bobbi O’Rourke but he was just hired to act like her because the real person is a recluse who never shown her face to the public. His real name was Tammy and he is not gay either. He was killed because an old client was enraged after thinking that he actually had sex with “him” as he did not know that he was only hired to pose as the lady author of the book.
The investigation led to a bigger case and it surprised the SVU team. They will now have to dig deeper and check out two reclusive brothers. When “Law & Order: SVU” season 20 returns after a short break, the series is expected to give answers as to the real identity of the brothers and their connection to the equally withdrawn lady author.
So, when is “Law & Order: SVU” season 20 coming back for the 11th episode? According to Bustle, the show may return in early January and this means that they are taking more than a month-long mid-season break.
