‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2’s episode 7, entitled “Invasion!”, is set to wrap up the 4-part epic crossover between the ‘Supergirl’, ‘Arrow’, and ‘The Flash’ television series. Meanwhile, Rip Hunter’s return is imminent as teased by actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers.
According to Hypable, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2’s episode 7 will wrap up The CW’s “Arrowverse” crossover episode, entitled “Invasion!” The team helps Supergirl, The Flash, and Green Arrow defeat aliens called the Dominators as they threaten to put the human race into extinction. The crossover event began with ‘Supergirl’ and continued with ‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow.’
It was revealed that Sara a.k.a. White Canary will be “instantly charmed” by Supergirl as teased by executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. During an interview with TV Line, Kreisberg revealed, “I think Sara’s got a little crush on her.” Caity Lotz, who plays Sara, admitted that her character was intimidated by Supergirl initially.
Lotz said that Sara was used to the idea of being one of the most powerful female heroes until Supergirl made her entry. She said, “Then all of a sudden comes this alien girl who can, like, levitate and burn things with her eyes. I think [Sara needs to get] over that intimidation and go, ‘OK, I see you.’ She’s impressed by her.”
Meanwhile, actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers teased that Rip Hunter will make his big return to the series. She joined season 2’s ensemble cast as the DC heroine Vixen.
She revealed during an interview with Cinema Blend, “He does come back, just not necessarily the Rip that we remember. That's sort of what is a big part of the second half of the season.”
Arthur Darvill’s Rip Hunter was a former Time Master and leader of the Legends. The character was known to be an expert tactician, skilled hand-to-hand combatant, and master marksman with genius-level intellect. He disappeared after saving New York City and his fate remains unknown at present.
‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2’s episode 7, entitled “Invasion!”, is scheduled to air on The CW on December 1, 2016. It was directed by Gregory Smith with a story by Greg Berlanti and teleplay by Phil Klemmer and Marc Guggenheim.
It will be followed by episode 8, entitled "The Chicago Way", scheduled for December 8.
