Lighter’s Robinhood Chain service now accepts 23 stock tokens as collateral after adding 12, giving users a wider set of assets to post through the service.
The 23-count covers stock-token collateral available on this Lighter service. AAPL, AMD, AMZN, BABA, BE, COIN and CRCL are among the eligible tickers. Perpetual futures are another product available through Lighter’s Robinhood Chain service.
Robinhood identified tokenized stocks as a focus area when its network moved to public mainnet July 1.
Lighter previously added ether.fi’s liquid staking token weETH as collateral for perpetual trading. Its earlier terms set an 800-weETH limit for each user and a separate 1,000-weETH platform cap. The exchange counted 70% of weETH’s index value toward margin and set an 85% liquidation threshold, according to EconoTimes’ earlier report on Lighter’s weETH margin rules. That feature required a Unified Trading Account and assigned supported non-USDC assets discounted values for margin.
