Four oncology data sets from Eli Lilly and Company are scheduled for presentation at the Oct. 23-27 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress in Madrid, according to an Oct. 18 announcement.
The selected programs span ovarian, lung, thyroid and breast cancer, from an early-stage drug combination to survival follow-up in a Phase 3 trial. Lilly’s preview does not include efficacy or safety figures for these four presentations.
One presentation will share first Phase 1 data for sofetabart mipitecan, an investigational folate receptor alpha-targeting antibody-drug conjugate, with bevacizumab in recurrent platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer. Lilly said the findings support the ongoing Phase 3 FRAmework-01 study. The company’s trial listing describes the study as covering both platinum-sensitive and platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
Lilly also plans an updated integrated analysis of olomorasib with pembrolizumab, pemetrexed and platinum as a potential first-line treatment for advanced or metastatic KRAS G12C-mutant non-small cell lung cancer. The analysis draws on Phase 1/2 LOXO-RAS-20001 and the safety lead-in portion of Phase 3 SUNRAY-01. Lilly said the results support the ongoing Phase 3 trial.
For thyroid cancer, the company will present updated results from Phase 3 LIBRETTO-531. The study compares selpercatinib with cabozantinib or vandetanib in advanced, kinase inhibitor-naïve, RET-mutant medullary thyroid cancer. Lilly says results from the study supported global approvals of Retevmo for this treatment setting.
The breast cancer presentation will report overall-survival data from Phase 3 postMONARCH. The trial compares abemaciclib plus fulvestrant with placebo plus fulvestrant in patients with advanced hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative disease whose cancer progressed after CDK4/6 inhibitor and endocrine therapy.
A separate first-in-human Phase 1 study published Oct. 8 in Annals of Oncology reported results for 105 patients with high-grade ovarian cancer, most of whom were platinum-resistant. It found a 50.5% overall response rate and median progression-free survival of 8.1 months. Those findings came from an earlier study and do not cover the newly announced platinum-sensitive combination data.
Lilly’s congress program schedules the sofetabart mipitecan and postMONARCH presentations for Oct. 24, olomorasib for Oct. 25 and selpercatinib for Oct. 26.
