“Lost in Space” season 2 will continue the story of the Robinson family who was stuck in a new world after their aircraft was sucked in by an unknown force to an unknown world. Now, they have to figure out a way to escape and fight off possible enemies that are waiting to attack them.
Originally, the Robinson family is on a mission and they are headed to the Alpha Centauri system to join the colony. But unfortunately, their ship called the Resolute went under attacked and they lost. Thus, they are now on a new planet and they have no idea what lies ahead for them there.
The mystery of the new planet
In the new planet, they managed to get around with the assistance of a Robot that suddenly showed up. It appears to be an alien and it proved to be their ally when it helped them in every way he could. The Robinson family is now aboard the Jupiter 2
More details about “Lost in Space” season 2 have been revealed after the cast and producers participated in the New York Comic Con that was scheduled the past weekend. At the NYCC, the new trailer was unveiled and it showed the family stuck on an ocean planet.
Moreover, they are desperately looking for the friend that they lost in season 1 which is the Robot. A voice-over in the preview stated: “Have You Seen Our Robot?” while the music "What a Wonderful World" played in the background. "I know he's out there somewhere," Will Robinson said.
The new season 2 trailer also offers a few glimpses of characters Dr. Smith and Don West (Ignacio Serricchio). We also see mom Maureen Robinson (Molly Parker) watching in awe at an iridescent fish floating around.
Cast - Who’s returning
As reported in USA Today, “Lost in Space” season 2 will run for 10 episodes and it will star the Robinson family consisting of – John Robinson (Toby Stephens) and Maureen Robinson (Molly Parker) as the parents and the children - Judy (Taylor Russell), Penny (Mina Sundwall) and Will (Maxwell Jenkins). Also in the cast are the untrustworthy Dr. Smith (Parker Posey), Don West (Ignacio Serricchio) and JJ Feild as Ben Adler, the head of the advanced systems and artificial intelligence.
Release date
“Lost in Space” season 2 is coming this Dec. 24 on Netflix. All the episodes are set to be dropped at the same time
