‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 12, titled “Love Handles,” is set to follow Lucifer and Chloe’s developing romance as things get more intense between them.
The synopsis for “Love Handles” posted on TV Muse reads, “Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Chloe (Lauren German) investigate a mysterious masked killer who is poisoning college students. They also try to make sense of their new relationship, after a long-awaited kiss.
Meanwhile, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) visits Linda (Rachael Harris) for advice on a touchy subject.”
In the promo, Lucifer expresses his insecurities about his developing romance with detective Chloe Decker. He tells his mother, “The detective kissed me. I just don’t know if it’s real.” In another scene, Chloe looks to be seducing the titular protagonist as things continue to heat up between the two.
Chloe and Lucifer end up making out inside Lux but Lucifer hesitates and asks her, “Are you sure you want to do this?” Chloe only replies, “Shut up.”
The two characters’ electric attraction to each other was apparent in the preceding episode, titled "Stewardess Interruptus." According to the recap on Fansided, Amenadiel (D.B Woodside) also attempted to manipulate Lucifer towards Chloe at Charlotte’s orders but Lucifer decided to stop pursing the detective in the end. However, when he tells Chloe that she’s special and deserves someone worthy of her, Chloe leans in for their long-awaited kiss.
Meanwhile, according to Yahoo! News, Lucifer may find out more about his past. In one of the episodes’ promotional images released by Fox, Lucifer holds up a photograph of a woman in a red dress. Charlotte, on the other hand, looks like she’s about to tell him something about her that could potentially distress him.
‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 12, titled “Love Handles,” is scheduled to air on Fox on January 23, 2017. It was directed by Karen Gaviola and written by Alex Katsnelson. It will be followed by episode 3, titled "A Good Day to Die," scheduled for January 30.
