‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 15, titled “Deceptive Little Parasite,” will follow Lucifer as he attempts to control a powerful artifact in his mission to send his family home safely. Meanwhile, the team is set to investigate the death of a therapist who is also an elite private school’s head of admissions.
The lengthy synopsis for “Deceptive Little Parasite” posted on TV Guide reads, “Knowing that the flaming sword is the only hope for the family returning home safely, the pressure falls on Lucifer (Tom Ellis) to control what he has never been able to control before – his emotions – in order to ignite it. Meanwhile, a therapist and head of admissions at an elite private school turns up dead, and the team investigates.”
The upcoming episode is set to follow Lucifer as he is tasked with a very important mission: to send his family home safely. In order to do this, he must ignite the flaming sword by controlling his emotions. This will prove very difficult to do since he is not one to control his own emotions very well and this tends to get the better of him.
In the promo, Lucifer is clearly perplexed at how to get the flaming sword to work. He tells Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) as he holds it in his hand, “It’s the most powerful weapon in the universe!” Despite Lucifer’s enthusiasm, his mother looks at the object with wariness.
In the next scene, Dr. Linda Martin (Rachael Harris) tries to understand Lucifer, Charlotte, and Amenadiel’s (D.B. Woodside) motivations in using the powerful yet dangerous artifact while Lucifer pays her a visit at her office. Linda says, “The three of you plan to use this flaming sword to cut through the Gates of Heaven and go home.” She looks to be waiting for confirmation from her friend.
Lucifer is told by mum that only he has the power to get the sword to work. However, he is having trouble doing so. Amenadiel reassures him that they have time to figure things out but Charlotte is wrought with anxiety when she declares that time is running out for her.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will also feature detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and her team as they work to investigate a possible murder of a head of admissions at a prestigious private school, according to Cartermatt. The new installment may not see some developments for Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship as the two are hounded by tasks they must need to accomplish.
‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 15, titled Little Parasite,” is scheduled to air on Fox on May 8, 2017. It was directed by Brad Tanenbaum and written by Mike Costa and Julia Fontana. It will be followed by episode 16, titled "God Johnson,” directed by Sherwin Shilati and written by Jason Ning and scheduled to be released on May 15.
