AUSTIN, Nov. 07, 2017 -- Mattersight Corporation (NASDAQ:MATR), the pioneer in personality-based software applications, today announced that the company’s Austin, Texas office has been named a 2017 Top Workplace by the Austin American-Statesman for the second year in a row.
Surveying more than 24,000 workers at 151 area employers earlier this year, the American-Statesman narrowed down the 100 best places to work in the greater Austin area. The Top Workplaces program, which is in its eighth year, asked workers to rate their employers in categories such as leadership and direction, ethics and values and how well employees are treated. The surveyed companies employ 41,000 people in the Austin metro area.
Ranked at #20, Mattersight’s Austin office houses teams across development, R&D and, most recently, service delivery. The company jumped up this year from #47 as a “Notable Newcomer” last year.
“We are honored and humbled that our employees have voted us a Top Workplace in the Austin American-Statesman again,” said Mattersight’s Chief People Officer, Melissa Moore. “At Mattersight, we put a lot of emphasis on our culture, which is about working together, learning, and making a difference for our customers and the people they serve. We are glad to see that our employees recognize this and are excited about their future at the company. We’d like to thank our Team Austin!”
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the survey results indicate that Austin-area workers value the ability to “grow their careers, receive valuable mentoring from supervisors and do work that makes a difference in their companies.” They also value flexible work schedules and their employers’ commitment to give back to the community.
