The Senior Vice President of Brand & Marketing at Jazwares, Gerhard Runken, affirmed that partnering with McDonald's allows Squishmallows to deliver an unbeatable 360-degree experience for fans worldwide.
Squishmallows, which won seven Toy of the Year Awards, have been around since 2017 but skyrocketed in popularity in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Now, these cute and cuddly plush toys are taking it up a notch with McDonald's. The partnership will include 24 collectible Squishmallows to complete your collection.
Squishmallows are known for their unique names and personalities, each with their hobbies and interests. These stuffed animals are usually found at retail stores such as Walgreens, Kroger, Walmart, Target, Five Below, and many more. Get ready for an exciting and engaging experience with this new McDonald's and Squishmallows partnership!
The collaboration with McDonald's marks an incredible milestone for Squishmallows, and the Senior Director of Global Campaigns and Alliances at McDonald's, Jennifer DelVecchio, emphasized that the partnership enables the fast food giant to take their Happy Meals to the next level. Adding music playlists to toys is a first for a Happy Meal campaign, so there's plenty to get excited about!
There will be ten to twelve Squishmallows available at each participating McDonald's outlet. There was no immediate word on when the products would begin to appear in Happy Meals.
The announcement of the partnership with Squishmallows came just a few days after McDonald's unveiled its new "Grimace Birthday Meal and Shake," which includes a medium French fry, your choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, and McD's first-ever purple shake, inspired by the iconic Grimace character.
