McKesson completed its acquisition of Precision Medicine Group, LLC, on Monday, Nov. 2, for about $2.25 billion, broadening its clinical research and commercialization capabilities as it raised its fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings per diluted share outlook.

McKesson announced the agreement Aug. 25 and said the business works with drug developers on clinical research and biopharma commercialization. The company said the acquisition strengthens its oncology and multispecialty strategy. It had planned for Precision Medicine Group to join its Oncology & Multispecialty segment after closing.

In its Nov. 4 second-quarter earnings release, McKesson reported revenue of $111 billion, up 8% from a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per diluted share were $11.68, an 18% increase. McKesson identifies adjusted earnings per diluted share as a non-GAAP measure.

The company’s fiscal 2027 outlook for adjusted earnings per diluted share is now $45.60 to $46.40, compared with its previous range of $44.20 to $45.00.
