Meesho expects year-over-year growth to appear stronger than its underlying trend in the December quarter as its Mega Blockbuster Sale shifts from Q2 last year to Q3 this year, The Economic Times reported.
The outlet based its report on a shareholder letter. The shift places the sale in a different quarter from last year, changing the comparison behind reported growth. Meesho’s Q2 FY27 release did not state a numerical forecast for Q3.
In its Q2 FY27 release, Meesho reported net merchandise value (NMV) of ₹12,911 crore (₹129.11 billion) for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, a 23% year-over-year increase. Placed orders rose 17% to 819 million, and annual transacting users climbed 21% to 284 million. The company published the figures in an exchange filing, also summarized in our earlier Q2 FY27 results coverage. These quarterly figures cover broader company activity than the sale’s single-day statistics.
Meesho separately said NMV rose 33% across the 90 days before Dussehra on a festive-aligned basis. That measure compares the same seasonal period across years, while the 23% figure measures Q2 NMV. The festive-aligned comparison is not a quarterly growth rate. The release describes it as a seasonal comparison.
On the sale’s opening day, orders rose about 75% year over year and transacting customers increased about 60%, Meesho said. Within 15 minutes of launch, order volume exceeded 75,000 a minute, Meesho said. Those opening-day figures are a snapshot and do not replace quarterly results.
The Economic Times also reported that Meesho planned to keep growth spending elevated through the festive period and the weeks around Diwali. The outlet said management cited raw-material and fuel prices, as well as household budgets, as concerns. Meesho also reported that day-one transacting sellers rose about 63% year over year.
Meesho’s Q3 FY27 results are the next indicator of quarterly growth after the sale moved into that period.
