Mercedes-Benz Korea introduced electric CLA and GLC models on Oct. 19, adding an electric version of a model that reached a South Korean sales high in 2025.

The electric CLA starts at 52.9 million won, while the electric GLC starts at 90 million won, according to the company’s reservation pages. The CLA’s final purchase price can vary by trim and options.

At the Seoul launch, Mercedes-Benz Korea said it had received about 1,000 CLA preorders since September and more than 2,500 GLC preorders since July. Yonhap News Agency reported that customer deliveries of the two models are expected to begin in mid-November.

The launches advance a four-model plan Mercedes-Benz Korea announced in January. The company also plans to introduce a CLA hybrid and an electric GLB in 2026. The CLA uses the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture, which supports electric and hybrid versions. The GLC is the first model to use the company’s Mercedes-Benz Electric Architecture for electric midsize vehicles.

Yonhap and Korea JoongAng Daily reported a South Korean certified range of 342 kilometers for the CLA 200 electric, which has a 58-kilowatt-hour battery. They reported a 474-km rating for the CLA 250+ electric, which has an 85-kWh battery.

Mercedes-Benz Korea said the GLC recorded 9,333 sales in South Korea in 2025, its highest annual total for the model.

Mercedes-Benz Korea CEO Shirin Emeera called the launches “a very important turning point” in the company’s electrification plans, Yonhap reported. As part of its 2026 strategy, the company also outlined a sales system intended to unify inventory and pricing across its Korean dealers.

Mercedes-Benz Korea aims to introduce Plug & Charge service in South Korea in the first quarter of 2027 for new electric models including the CLA and GLC. The company said availability may differ by model and model year.
