Speaking at the SPD Economic Forum in Berlin, Merz said he saw no reason Trump would stop bypassing Congress after the midterm loss, according to Anadolu Agency.

Merz framed his expectation around Trump’s record in office. Merz cited Trump’s conduct during the previous two years and the president’s constitutional authority, saying the election result did not change that power, according to Anadolu Agency.

An earlier EconoTimes report on midterm-related dollar risks cited Commerzbank currency analyst Thu Lan Nguyen’s view that political risks to the dollar could outlast the midterms, FXStreet reported.
