At its Sept. 30 call, Micron said 26 customer agreements may cover more than 35% of revenue through 2030; customers committed $32 billion, mostly in cash deposits.

Micron said about three-quarters of projected agreement revenue has defined prices, mostly with minimum and maximum bounds; the rest is negotiated at market rates.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk wrote on X Oct. 13 that Micron was “reasonable” on future prices and other suppliers were “extortionate.” He said customers would remember the gap and linked the stance to long-term loyalty.

Micron CFO Mark Murphy put remaining performance obligations for price-defined agreements at about $150 billion. CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said more than 75% of fiscal 2027 output was committed.
