Microsoft Surface Book 3 has long been rumored to arrive later this year but there is no confirmation from Microsoft yet. Information about the unit is also scarce but there are publications that claimed to have acquired leaked info so there are ideas as to what can be expected in the third generation of the Surface laptop.
While there is varying information about Microsoft Surface Book 3, almost all the outlets are sure that it will be an upgraded version of the Surface Book 2. This means that the functions and features are improved and if there were shortcomings in the last-gen model, these would have been addressed already.
Design and specs
It was said that the Microsoft Surface Book 3 could move away from its usual sleek design look and may be fitted with new material on the deck so there will be an added texture. It was also suggested that it may now have the Thunderbolt 3 and HoloLens 2 that will be easier to use for AR/VR functions.
Microsoft Surface Book 3 is also likely to run on 10th Gen "Ice Lake" Intel CPU with Core i5 and Core i7 options. The Surface 3 may also have the AMD-powered version so there are choices for the users. With AMD, it will have the Zen+ Core with Vega graphics for good graphics but for lower prices compared to those that will have the Intel processor.
There is a rumor that Microsoft Surface Book 3 will have a flexible screen that can be bent to form two screens. It was reported that the company is already working on getting a patent for this type of OLED display panel.
Microsoft Surface Book 3 is being referred to as a gaming machine because of how it was built. It was mentioned that it be fitted with hardware and functions that will make playing games a great experience.
Price and release date
Microsoft Surface Book 3 has no official release date but it was predicted to arrive in the market in September or October. As for the price, it will start at around $1,200 and up to $2,500 depending on the model and size.
