WATERTOWN, Mass., Aug. 10, 2017 -- Mimecast Limited (NASDAQ:MIME), a leading email and data security company, today announced a partnership with the Kraft Group and the New England Patriots making Mimecast their email resilience solution provider for more than 9,000 employees. Through the partnership, the New England Patriots will leverage Mimecast’s integrated cloud suite to comprehensively manage email security, archiving and business continuity. This multi-year partnership will include joint marketing promotions and advertising.
Champions of overcoming adversity on the field, the New England Patriots were looking to build an enhanced email resiliency strategy for advanced email attacks against employee inboxes. Seeking out efficiencies, the Patriots were looking for an email security solution that didn’t heavily rely on appliances, but could also offer protection from advanced phishing, ransomware and impersonation attacks while consolidating their entire email infrastructure around archiving and continuity. Upon implementation of Mimecast’s suite of cloud-based email resiliency solutions, the Patriots now have immediate protection from advanced email threats and enhanced cyber resiliency to the company’s overall email environment. This protection eases the burden of email management and leverages the Mimecast 100 percent service availability SLA for their email environment.
“Knowing that 99 percent of advanced attacks start with an email, we’re proud to help the New England Patriots broaden their defense when it comes to email security. We understand that a comprehensive cyber resilience strategy requires more than just security, which is why Mimecast solutions also offer business continuity, archiving and end-user empowerment,” said Alex Bender, senior vice president of marketing at Mimecast. “Mimecast is a company with strong Boston roots, serving the Boston Celtics for over four years so we’re proud to expand with a partnership with the New England Patriots.”
“We are always looking to take every aspect of our company to the next level and we’re proud to partner with Mimecast for the protection against advanced threats, and strengthen our overall cyber resilience strategy,” said Murray Kohl, vice president of corporate sales for the New England Patriots. “Through our partnership with Mimecast we are able to unify our security, continuity and archiving capabilities into a powerful integrated cloud suite.”
