Monarch expects the 8th Pay Commission’s recommendations to be accepted in FY28. It says more than 20 million employees and pensioners could see higher disposable income, which it sees as a possible source of additional spending on cars, travel and tourism, premium beverages and consumer durables. The brokerage also points to earlier pay commission cycles when discussing those spending patterns.

For banking, financial services and insurance, Monarch cites credit and deposit growth each above roughly 15%, asset quality at a multi-year best and valuations below average. EconoTimes has also covered SBI Securities’ Samvat 2083 stock recommendations.

The National Stock Exchange of India has scheduled Muhurat Trading for Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, for Diwali Laxmi Pujan. The exchange said session timings will be announced separately.
