The end is coming for “Money Heist” as it was announced that the upcoming fifth season will be the last in the series. While the fans rejoiced for the return of the show that was originally known as “La Casa de Papel,” season 5 is not exactly a happy announcement because it is the finale.
In any case, the production of “Money Heist” season 5 started a few months ago. This means that the viewers will soon see what happens next after El Professor (Álvaro Morte) was caught in his hideout by Alicia Sierra, his nemesis.
Hints on the drama’s season 5’s plot
The heist at the Bank of Spain is not yet over but then, this time the group did not succeed in robbing undetected. In fact, they are now surrounded by the police and they are trying to escape from the building and hopefully, everyone will make it out alive.
The team is trapped and they lost Nairobi (Alba Flores) too. Sad as it may seem, it was predicted that more of the heist members are set to die.
Alex Pina, the show creator and producer of the “Money Heist” season 5, also dropped some hints with regard to the fate of the key players in the drama. When the show was renewed by Netflix, he also shared that El Professors’ group will break apart.
“We've spent almost a year thinking about how to break up the band,” What’s on Netflix quoted the show creator as saying. “How to put the Professor on the ropes and how to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters.”
In any case, Álex Rodrigo, one of the directors, added that he would like “Money Heist” to conclude “in style, as the fans imagine and dream.”
New cast members and release date
“Money Heist” season 5 will end with new characters. Express reported that Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criado have been added to the cast lineup and one of these two would be El Professor’s new enemy.
Meanwhile, “Money Heist” season 5 was predicted to be released in April 2021, as The Post. With the production proceeding as scheduled, it will not be long when the show finally premieres on Netflix.
