SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said during the company’s Oct. 20 earnings call that it could add about 10 gigawatts of land-based AI computing in 2027. EconoTimes previously reported on Musk’s ground-computing estimate.

After accepting SpaceX’s orbital data-center filing, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) invited public comment; the notice did not authorize operations. The filing describes a proposed system of up to 1 million satellites, as outlined in EconoTimes’ earlier report on the filing.
