“NBA 2K20” will be the next installment in the long-running franchise where basketball fans can play video games without seeming like nerds. Not that being a nerd is considered a bad thing these days, but many sports fans simply don’t feel comfortable with the idea of just playing video games. On the other hand, there are players out there who are too comfortable with it, if the demands they are throwing at 2K executives are any indication.
As Forbes recently reported, 2K top dogs Marketing Ronnie Singh and Mike "Beluba" Wang are getting showered with a ton of request and suggestions with regards to “NBA 2K20” and its features. While many of the feedback received was valid, quite a few are more on the eccentric side. It’s not that they are bad, exactly, but they are certainly strange.
There are the requests that come from people who want Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman to be added to “NBA 2K20,” for example, which presents complications all on its own. There have also been more neurotic demands such as having the players untuck their jerseys once things get a little too hot for them.
Then there are the fans who think that the NBA should be like hockey in that it should have a feature that allows players to pick fights with the members of the other team. While this may sound like an interesting idea for “NBA 2K20,” it won’t exactly work since this is a basketball game. At the end of the day, violence is discouraged and not the other way around.
As the name might indicate, “NBA 2K20” will likely come out near the end of this year or even perhaps early in 2020. Either way, fans can expect that not much is going to change about it, just as previous games didn’t really evolve drastically.
