NDTV Profit reported that two market commentators issued mixed recommendations on six Indian shares Oct. 26, offering investors views on companies including Kalyan Jewellers India, Biocon and Reliance Industries.

Mahesh Ojha, whom NDTV Profit identified as a market expert, recommended buying Kalyan Jewellers India and accumulating shares in stages for a longer-term holding. The outlet listed a reported current market price (CMP) of Rs 504.80 and Ojha’s target at Rs 740 to Rs 750. For Biocon, Ojha recommended selling at higher levels, with an exit zone of Rs 360 to Rs 375 against a reported CMP of Rs 328.80. He said the stock had traded in a narrow range over the longer term.

Vishnu Kant Upadhyay, assistant vice president for research and advisory at Master Capital Services Ltd., recommended holding One97 Communications, Paytm’s operator, NDTV Profit reported. The outlet gave a reported CMP of Rs 1,654.70 and said Upadhyay placed a stop-loss below Rs 1,560.

Upadhyay also recommended holding Reliance Industries, for which NDTV Profit listed a reported CMP of Rs 1,201.80. He identified support around Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,150 and said declines could present buying opportunities while the share price remained above that range. The outlet attributed to Upadhyay a claim that Reliance had fallen 25% from its 52-week high, but gave no high-price figure or reference date.

Ojha recommended holding IDFC First Bank, with a one-year target of Rs 81 to Rs 85 and a reported CMP of Rs 71.74. He also recommended holding ITC, listed at a reported CMP of Rs 260.50, and described its trading as consolidating.

NDTV Profit did not specify when any of the six CMPs were observed, so the figures are not confirmed closing prices. The outlet said the views belonged to the advisers and urged readers to consult their own investment adviser.
