Indian market commentators issued buy, hold and partial-sale calls on six stocks, while Hyundai Motor India’s latest quarter paired record unit sales with lower profit and a narrower margin.

NDTV Profit reported Thursday, Oct. 29, that Chakri Lokapriya, chief investment officer-equities at LGT Wealth, put ICICI Bank and Schaeffler India in the buy category. He advised long-term holds on Hyundai Motor India and Tata Steel, and recommended reducing an L&T Finance position by selling part of it. The outlet attributed those five calls to Lokapriya. Kush Bohra, founder of Kushbohra.Com, recommended Trent and gave ₹2,700 as a stop-loss level.

NDTV Profit said Lokapriya based his Schaeffler view on expected expansion in the industrial sector. The outlet also reported his warning that Tata Steel could see substantial volatility in the months ahead.

Hyundai Motor India recorded total sales of 219,072 units in Q2 FY27, a 15% increase from a year earlier. Consolidated revenue rose to ₹20,696.1 crore from ₹17,460.8 crore in Q2 FY26. Consolidated profit after tax declined to ₹1,196.2 crore from ₹1,572.3 crore, and the EBITDA margin narrowed to 9.5% from 13.9%.

Sales and revenue rose year over year, but profit and margin fell. Hyundai attributed the pressure on profitability to higher commodity costs.

Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg described Q2 as a milestone for the company, citing its record unit sales. Hyundai said it plans to launch a dedicated mass-market electric vehicle in Q4 FY27.
