NDTV Profit ranked Delhi's air-quality reading above those for Noida and Gurugram in India's National Capital Region (NCR), but gave no collection times, leaving no shared time point for comparison.
In a Nov. 1 report, NDTV Profit listed Delhi at about 377 AQI, Noida at 367 and Gurugram at 354. The outlet said its tracker uses the U.S. AQI scale, but did not say when it recorded the three figures.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) uses a separate National Air Quality Index, with categories of 0–50 good, 51–100 satisfactory, 101–200 moderately polluted, 201–300 poor, 301–400 very poor and 401–500 severe. CPCB says the bands reflect pollutant concentrations and their likely health impacts. NDTV Profit placed the six cities in its report in the 101–200 band on CPCB's scale, with Delhi toward the upper end, but gave no individual CPCB-scale readings.
The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology's Delhi system showed readings of 108 AQI at IHBAS and 303 at Jahangirpuri at 11:30 p.m. UTC on Oct. 31. Those are readings from individual Delhi stations, rather than a matched citywide comparison with Noida and Gurugram.
India Today's tracker listed Noida at 133 AQI on Nov. 1 and named Sector-116 as its highest reading. It gave no time matching NDTV Profit's figure, and the two readings do not establish a common-scale comparison.
The Delhi station readings and separate Noida figure neither confirm nor overturn NDTV Profit's reported order; they do not provide a synchronized comparison across the three cities.
