The Binance spot market for NEAR and Tether (USDT) quoted the asset at $5.32, compared with $5.17 an hour earlier. That difference equals a 2.90% increase using the displayed prices. At the same observation time, the 24-hour reading showed a 6.37% gain, covering a separate period from the hourly comparison.
A separate tally for Binance, Bybit and OKX showed $310,000 in NEAR short positions liquidated during that hour and no liquidated long positions. NEAR ranked 19th by market capitalization, at about $6.77 billion.
The quote was above the $5.04 recorded in the hour ending at 8:02 p.m. ET Oct. 20, when an earlier EconoTimes update recorded $650,000 in short liquidations across the three exchanges. The snapshots cover different hours, and the earlier one had a larger liquidation total.
